El pasado 27 de febrero de 2012 fueron publicados los hallazgos clave de un reporte de investigación realizado conjuntamente por el Banco Mundial y el State Council del Development Research Center of China, el cual establece el caso para una nueva estrategia de desarrollo de la China orientada a re-balancear el rol del gobierno y el mercado, el sector privado y la sociedad, para alcanzar la meta de ser, para el 2030, un país de ingresos altos.
